Office Centre “1000″ or the Banknote Building

April 3rd, 2011 | by Isaac Hogan |

One of the most amazing and unusual buildings I’ve ever seen … Here it is – Office Centre “1000″ or the Banknote Building.

I am ready to bet you would be surprised to see Ben Franklin’s face smiling at you from the building across the street. It seems to me, you would treat this like a funny commercial. But the reality is very unusual … sometimes, especially when some funny guys from a design and architecture company in Lithuania painted the facade of an office building with the image of the national banknote. What a brilliant idea!

The banknote displayed on the building is the LTL 1000 banknote, but it is no longer in use. The office building is located in Taikos str. 88a, Kaunas, Lithuania and it was built between 2005-2008.
