After Hours: A Recap of the DG Networking Social

September 21st, 2011 | by Isaac Hogan |

The DG Networking Social at the Magnolia Hotel was an incredibly stellar event. With more than 250 attendees that are some of the most prestigious designers and DG partners in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Mingling together in one room, it was no wonder that great connections, business acquaintances and friendships had developed towards the end of the evening.

The line to get in to the event was long and with our team eager to get every one in quickly, we doubled up on giving out name tags to professionals. The purpose of the event was to promote and nurture essential business relaitonships. Name tags and business cards were being distributed left and right, and the Design Guide ladies were elated to be a part of each introduction.

Design Guide partners sipped on Smartini drinks and nibbled on masterfully cooked hors’ d’oeuvres by the Magnolia Hotel’s genius catering team. Sampling on culinary delicacies while enjoying themselves among others that share the same passion for design as they do, was a wonderfully amusing sight to see.

Along with excellent food and beverage, was an equally as perfect band. Danny Piassick and The Texas Bobcats played until guests couldn’t dance anymore and sang until their faces were blue.

Blending past and present Design Guide clients and their guests in one room was an excellent way to combine all the greatest talents under one roof.
