Useful Lamp or Shelf

People love books of all kinds. Some of them love adventure, romance, Science fiction books or magazine specialized on different disciplines or that treat different subjects matters.Most of us read some pages before going to bed, while we sit relaxed in hammock in the garden or the newspaper or our favorite magazine near a cup of coffee in the morning when we are prepared to go to work.

Precious Horus Table Lamp

I guess everybody has heard about the famous Murano glass. Venini, Salviati, Barovier&Toso, Pauly or Seguso are well known brands that became famous all over the world. Perhaps few of us do not know much about its history or that Murano glass is a well-known product of the Venetian island of Murano and that most Murano glass art is made using the lampworking technique. The glass is made from silica, which becomes liquid at high temperatures and while it becomes solid the glassmakers have enough time to shape it.

Those of you who are admirers if this type of glass perhaps would be delighted to find out that the Horus Table Lamp captures the beauty and elegance of this type of glass in its design.

The Hana lamp from Shige Hasegawa

We’ve already talked a while ago about the Hana table, which was part of the same collection. Designed by Shige Hasegawa Design in Tokyo, the “Hana” collection is a nature-inspired set that will add elegance and style to any home.

Hana actually means “flower” in Japanese, which makes it very clear that this has been the inspiration-source for both the table and the lamp. While the table borrows some features from the origami art, featuring a very beautiful wooden structure that resembles a flower, the lamp has a different approach. Chaotic Xuan lamp

China based design studio INNOVO has come up with a fun but unusual lamp design. They’ve created what seems to be a hairy lamp, with a chaotic look. The lamp doesn’t actually have hair, it’s an illusion that makes it look that way. Anyway, it has a funny look that makes this lamp an unconventional piece, fit for any modern home.

The Xuan lamp is actually made of bamboo. At the top you can see the original piece of bamboo that then splits into a lot of smaller pieces. The fine and smooth slices of bamboo resemble human hair.
