Pick the perfect hue for your bathroom

Before you start off decorating and coloring your bathroom, be sure that the colors you have opted for are perfect for your bathroom space and décor. The idea is to pick colors from the bathroom fixtures and items and blend them with some perfect hues. The main objective is that the colors should compliment each other and should not look odd in the bathroom.

While deciding on your bathroom furniture, plan out the color combinations for your bathroom walls, ceiling, fixtures and tiles too, simultaneously. If you are not comfortable with bold hues for the walls, go for lighter colors and use the dark hues for window and door borders. The smaller the bathroom is the more difficult it becomes to paint it. Y

RSVP Design Services Talks Fortuny

This week, Amy and I were invited to experience the introduction of Fortuny Venezia’s new fabric collection, Colourismo, at Elloise Abbott’s showroom at the International Design Center. The fabrics were new and exciting, but most of all we enjoyed hearing Maury Riad give the details of Fortuny’s history.

Mariano Fortuny was born in 1871 in Spain, into a family of renowned artists. He lived briefly in Paris and in 1889 moved to Venice, where he established himself as a painter, then an etcher, a sculptor, a photographer, and architect and inventor.

He entered the fashion industry in 1907 and his revolutionary garments, including the Delphos gown that “emphasized the female body in motion” (Fortuny website) as both elegant and versatile. The gown

Wonderful & Warm, Apartment Interiors by KNQ Associates

This apartment located at Bishan’s Natura Loft, Singapore. Interior Design by Stanley Tham and Jwen Sim of KNQ Associates. Main living room they use timber/ glass structure which provides partitioning and storage functions right next to the main entrance, effectively carving out a fully functional private study out of nowhere – perfect for the female owner, who often needs to attend overseas conference calls and work late.
